The Friends of Larkrise have traditionally organise many social events for children and their families throughout the year, such as:
- a Halloween Disco in October (Term 1A);
- Larkmas (the Winter Fayre) in November/December (Term 1B);
- a World Book Day Disco in March (Term 2A);
- a Parents’ Quiz Night in February (Term 2B); and
- Larkfest (the Summer Fayre) in June/July (Term 3B).
The children and their families have a great time at these events, and funds are raised through the sale of food (e.g., pizza, hot dogs, vegetarian curry, and snacks, where a Halal option is always available), activities for the children, nearly-new sales, raffles, and more.
FOL also apply for grant funding, sell school-themed or child-created merchandise, encourage parents/carers to subscribe to websites that will give a referral commission to FOL, and run appeal for donations for specific items the school would like to raise funds for.
The current fundraising goals are updated regularly following consultation with the school.
