If you have have a bit of spare time on Sunday 20 March, between 10am and 2pm, it would be amazing if you could help out at the School Ground Volunteer Day. The forecast is for sun, sun and more sun! Kids are very welcome, and there will be plenty of child-friendly and fun jobs available.
Our ambitious list of Jobs include:
- painting the new wooden mud kitchens for Year 1 and the Adventure play area;
- setting up a lithophone (stone xylophone) area in the trees behind the OPAL shed;
- planting trees;
- clearing the outdoor area behind the adventure room;
- developing a SEN outdoor area;
- shaping the willow dome in the EYFS garden
- cleaning and pressure washing under the shelter near the Nursery room;
- cleaning the plastic cladding outside the Robin and Wren rooms;
- assembling two children’s wheelbarrows;
- installing a short willow-hoop fence around the brick garden beds behind the Year 4 and Year 5 classrooms; and
- general gardening, clearing and litter picking around the school.
