SUMMARY:Larkmas 2022
DESCRIPTION:We need your help to get ready for our Larkmas winter fair event\, which will be from 3.30 – 6pm on 16th Dec. Please sign up to help at this link: https://signup.com/go/NWhXvNG. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe stalls will be taking 50p tokens which you can buy on the day with cash or a card (minimum card payment £1) from the Friends of Larkrise welcome stall. You can also buy these tokens online via our shop and collect ahead from the school office to avoid the queues. We will email you once the tokens are ready for you to collect from the office. We’re also hoping to be able to sell tickets by the school gates in the week running up to Larkmas\, so keep an eye out for us there. \n\n\n\nWe would love for everyone in our wider school community to get involved.  Here’s how: \n\n\n\n\nAhead of the event\, you can donate:\n\n\n\n\n\n2nd hand children’s books in good condition for the 2nd hand books sale\n\n\n\nJam jars filled with treasure from the bottom of the toy box e.g. spares left over from party bags\, few bits of lego\, kinder egg loot\, a few stickers etc. These will be used in a lucky dip. We have used these in our previous events and they have been very popular..\n\n\n\n\nPlease take any of these items to the school office from 1st December onwards. \n\n\n\n\nOn the day itself\, donations of cakes or baked goods\, sweet or savoury\, shop bought or homemade. No nuts please. Please provide a list of ingredients for homemade bakes.\n\n\n\n\n3.       Volunteer a little time on the day itself – Please sign up to help at this link: https://signup.com/go/NWhXvNG. \n\n\n\nPlease email chairfol@larkriseprimary.org to find out more or to let us know that you are interested. \n\n\n\nWhat to expect at Larkmas\n\n\n\nAll the activities will take place in the outdoor classroom on the main playground\, the adventure room and the area outside year 4\,5 and 6 classrooms. \n\n\n\nWe are delighted that the beautiful lanterns created by year 3 and year 5 for the Light Festival are now back at Larkrise and these will be on display at Larkmas lighting up the event.   \n\n\n\nWhat do I need to bring? \n\n\n\nPlease bring a cup with you for hot drinks.  \n\n\n\nThe event takes place outside so please wrap up warmly. We will review if rain is forecast but are keeping our fingers crossed for dry weather! \n\n\n\nSchool Streets will be operational at school pick up time as usual so please walk\, scoot or cycle to the event. If you do need to drive please park considerately away from Boundary Brook Road.  \n\n\n\nWe really hope that everyone will enjoy the event. If you have any questions please email chairfol@larkriseprimary.org. \n\n\n\nMusic \n\n\n\n\n3.45 Larkrise School choir\n\n\n\n4.30 Headingtones Choir: this is a local choir who will be singing some traditional carols and would welcome any enthusiastic singers to join in with them on the day!\n\n\n\n5.15 Horns of Plenty  are a street band formed in 2007 for the Cowley Road Carnival.\n\n\n\n\nActivities \n\n\n\n\nEach year group will be running a fun activity for everyone to enjoy\n\n\n\nSpat the Festive Rat\n\n\n\nMr Spinny Wheel\n\n\n\nTreasure jars lucky dip\n\n\n\n2nd hand children’s book sale\n\n\n\nBeautiful handmade hats/ gloves and other knitwear for sale which has been kindly donated to FOL\n\n\n\nSanta: will be wandering around the event and is happy to answer questions from children/  have his photo taken!\n\n\n\nFire pit and stick bread\n\n\n\nBoundary Brook Nature Reserve are kindly running a stall involving painting birds\n\n\n\nSimple crafts to make in the adventure room\n\n\n\nEnergy bills support stall\n\n\n\n\nFood and drink stalls \n\n\n\n\nHot dogs and burgers\, vegetarian and meat available.\n\n\n\nFruit and popcorn\n\n\n\nMince pies/ cakes and other baked goods\n\n\n\nTeas/ coffees and hot chocolate\n\n\n\nMulled apple juice (non alcoholic) and fruit juice\n\n\n\nMulled wine and other alcoholic beverages
